The Sokolovs of Nevarra are middle nobility, respected and quietly observing the current state of the nation regarding the Pentaghast and Van Markhams.  They've consistently maintained a strong presence in the military since the founding of the line with some involvement in dragon hunting to small reknown in the oldest days that they've carefully cultivated, a few members of the family long long ago having even joined the ranks of the Grey Wardens; they claim to have been involved with the final defeat of Toth at Hunter Fell but we all know how old families are about these things.  The Sokolovs have mostly married within Nevarra when it comes to the main branch, carving out a reputation as politicians and members of the army though more recently since the marriage of Valeriu to Corina they've began to look to their longer term futures with more advantageous marriages, and allowing one of their children to roam whilst keep a good eye on his career and the people he comes into contact with.

ᴄᴜʀʀᴇɴᴛ ɢᴇɴᴇʀᴀᴛɪᴏɴ
Valeriu Evgeni Sokolov; patriarch, head of the household and general in the Nevarran army.  Married to Corina fairly young, son of a Mortalitasi and a politician groomed for soldiering when he didn't display the right traits for politics.
Corina Flavia Sokolov; matriarch, wife of Valeriu, involved in political affairs and a great deal of fundraising for popular projects that support the arts and any sort of cultural affair.  'Meddles' in the lives of her children, arranging their marriages, who they should meet etc.
Anatoli Bogdan Sokolov; eldest son, first child; head of the household in the absence of Valeriu, has followed his mother into politics rather than his father into the army and is considered a charismatic speaker.  Married well to a daughter of another army figure but of higher standing, they have three children, one of whom is suspected to be a mage.
Octavian Nestor Sokolov; second son, middle child; scholar and researcher of zoology with an interest in Blighted beasts, draconology, how some of the odder beasts of the Thedas came to be and more recently in how the rifts affect the wild animals.  Studied at the University of Orlais.  Unmarried/not engaged.
Demetra Mirela Sokolov; only daughter, third child; a young artisan in Nevarran, she is newly married to a scholar of philosophy, son of wealthy merchants who are well-connected beyond Nevarra, pregnant with her first child.
Constantin Decebal Sokolov; father of Valeriu, former politician but now retired and regarded as something of an eccentric.  Takes a great interest in whatever Tavin happens to be up to, enjoys writing long rambling letters since being widowed.
